極地科學(xué)考察，是人類探索自然奧秘、促進(jìn)人類發(fā)展的重要領(lǐng)域。中國極地科學(xué)考察起步于上世紀(jì)80年代中期，并于1984年11月20日不僅首次向南極派出科考隊(duì)，而且建設(shè)個科考長城站。此外，我國還擁有“雪龍”號破冰考察船和國內(nèi)考察基地，為我國持續(xù)深化開展極地科學(xué)考察奠定了良好基礎(chǔ)。到目前為止，我國取得了大批寶貴的數(shù)據(jù)、資料和樣品，獲得了許多具有重大科學(xué)價值的成果，為人類認(rèn)識、探索極地奧秘作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。

The polar scientific research is an important area of exploring the nature and promoting the development of human beings. Chinas polar scientific research started from the mid-1980s. On November the expediting team was sent to antarctic for the first time. The Great Wall Station， the first Chinese scientific research station， was established. In addition， China owns the icebreaker “snow Dragon” and research based， which laid a good foundation for deepening the polar scientific research. So far， China has got a large number of valuable data， information and samples and obtained many achievements with great scientific value， which made an important contribution for human beings to understand and explore the secrets of the Antarctic.
